About us

YOR Local Medical Committee Ltd (YORLMC) is the brand name for the organisation which carries out the majority of work undertaken by North Yorkshire and Bradford & Airedale LMCs.

We are the professional voice for all NHS GPs and practice teams across North Yorkshire, the City of York, Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale & Craven districts.

We can support NHS GPs and practice teams in many ways such as:

• providing practical support and advice on topics such as the interface between primary and secondary care and the GP Contract.
• providing pastoral support to GPs. You can find out how to access pastoral support here.
• providing access to a large range of wellbeing resources including mentoring and courses to improve individual, practice or systems resilience through GPMPlus.

As part of YORLMC’s ongoing interface workstream, we work closely and meet regularly with Integrated Care Boards (ICB), secondary care Trusts, mental health and community services, local representative committees (LRCs) and local authorities. We also work closely with other LMCs across Yorkshire and Humber.

There are also several other workstreams that YORLMC are taking forward to support and provide useful resources to general practice. These include Communications, Environmental and GPAS and Workforce.

YORLMC is supported by the Operations Team who are responsible for the administration of all aspects of the business.
