From YORLMC Wellbeing Lead, Dr John Bibby
YORLMC is committed to providing its constituents with a variety of services to give modern General Practice the support it needs.
YORLMC's wellbeing programme, which I am excited to lead, brings together a range of services, schemes and events that will support wellbeing and enable individuals to look after their own health and know when to seek help before difficulties arise. This programme is available to all GPs and practice managers as well as the wider practice team and the feedback already being received is excellent.
The COVID-19 crisis is currently the focus of the whole healthcare system and almost all our daily work. YORLMC is sending regular updates to practices on COVID-19 and the latest update, as well as other information, is available on a dedicated page on our website at: https://www.yorlmcltd.co.uk/covid19home
At this time of great stress and pressures, the wellbeing of ourselves and our colleagues is particularly important. With this in mind, YORLMC has collated a series of resources which you may find of help - please see this page for more details.
COVID19 Support Programme (CPS)
YORLMC’S COVID19 Mentoring Support Programme is offering free virtual mentoring support via video calling facilities to GPs, including trainee and returning GPs, practice nurses and non clinical staff working within General Practice in the YORLMC area; please contact Simon Berriman, Executive Officer, either by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01423 879922. The support offered aims to help those members of the practice team with responsibility for making decisions on behalf of patients or on behalf of other colleagues, i.e. individuals with supervisory duties and/or with leadership responsibilities.
This support is being provided on a 1:1 basis by trained mentors usually in 30 minute one-off sessions; however longer sessions and follow up sessions can be arranged as required on a case by case basis. GPs who have previously accessed the GP mentoring service can access the COVID19 Mentoring Support Service.
There's more information about YORLMC's full suite of wellbeing services available via the menu on the right.
There is a lot of support available - please get in touch any time.
