How does YORLMC support GPs and practice teams?

YORLMC offers a broad range of services to support GPs and wider practice teams.

Legal advice

YORLMC offers expert legal services tailored for GP practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Federations via LMC Law.

Pastoral & crisis support

If you need confidential, personal support while experiencing major change or feeling in difficulty, for example in relation to contractual, financial, performance or wellbeing concerns, we’re here to help.

LMC buying group

Access discounts on products and services provided by our buying group's suppliers. Membership is free and there is no obligation for practices to use all the suppliers.

GPAS and workforce data

YORLMC's General Practice Alert State (GPAS) collects data from practices to provide tangible evidence of the pressure that general practice is under.

Supporting your GP journey

There is a common misconception that LMCs are just for GP Partners. Whilst it is true that there are contractual, financial and legal concerns for GP Partners that LMCs can help advise and support with, ultimately, YORLMC is funded through a practice-based levy and we offer a wide range of services and resources available to all GPs whatever their status.

Early Career GPs

In the first 5-7 years post CCT, YORLMC offers support tailored to GPs to help you navigate your career development. Let us know you're an Early Career GP and we'll take it from there...

Sessional GPs

GPs working sessionally may do so for a variety of reasons - whether it’s work/life balance, a portfolio career or having returned to the GP workforce, YORLMC offers many ways in which we can support you and ensure your voice is heard.

GP Partners

You may be new to partnership or well established as a partner. YORLMC can help support, advise and guide you through the many challenges of being a GP Partner, from queries about clinical work and contractual matters to your wellbeing and your role running a business.

YORLMC Conference 2026: Learn well, Lead well, Connect well.
