Courses, Development and Training Opportunities

  • West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership have funded 100 spaces on a Centre for Sustainable Healthcare course for people working in West Yorkshire and Harrogate health and care.  The full range of courses can be viewed at  https://sustainablehealthcare.org.uk/courses .  Individuals can apply for a funded place by contacting Verity Phillips at verity.phillips3@nhs.net)

  • SOS-UK is a student-led education charity focusing on sustainability and runs a monthly, interactive webinar series , covering a range of sustainability topics.  All webinars are hosted through Zoom and recorded for people to access at a later date. 

  • The  AHSN Network  is hosting a series of sharing and learning events that aim to share best practice innovations and initiatives to support the delivery of a net zero NHS.  A virtual event taking place on 8th February 10:30 - 12:00 will focus on reducing the environmental impact of asthma inhalers.  Topics covered include clinical decision-making and encouraging patients, where appropriate, to adopt environmentally friendly inhaler use. Policy, education and training will also feature. This webinar is open to anyone working in the NHS with an interest in inhaler prescribing. Click  here  for further details
