Position:Hambleton & Richmondshire Locality
Organisation:YORLMC

I have been qualified as a GP since 2001 and have worked as a locum, salaried doctor and GP Partner. I have been at Quaker Lane for more than 10 years and have been involved with YORLMC as a local representative for over 8 years. My interests in the past have included Out of Hours and Prison Medicine. I have also been a board member of Heartbeat Alliance where I helped implement the open for longer service in Hambleton and Richmond.

I think GPs in our area deliver an amazing service but have been held back by a variety of local and national political restraints.

I enjoy being on LMC for the way the it stands up for General Practice and aims to find working solutions to issues that either hold General Practice back or are just plain daft!

In my spare time, I am a foundation governor at a local primary school and enjoy keeping fit so I can keep up with my three kids.
